II: cBOS™- Continuous Batch Oxidation System

  • A W2e™ cBOS process train consists of 4 Primary Gasification Chambers feeding a Secondary Oxidation Chamber
  • Unsorted mixed waste loaded in batches
  • Each chamber runs on its own average 23 hour cycle; the actual run-time varying with the volume, density and caloric value of the waste
  • Sequential firing of the primary gasification chambers ensures 24/7 production of thermal energy
  • A waste heat boiler converts the thermal energy from the process into steam for use in the production of either electricity, district heating, cooling plants or drinking water
  • Ash production is < 5% of combustible material; glass, metals and other non combustibles are also removed with the ash and may be recycled
  • cBOS™ is modular in design so that higher processing capacities can be easily attained by combining multiple trains
