Greenergy Solutions signed MOA with Municipal Government of Morong for waste-to-energy development

Greenergy Solutions, a Philippine corporation founded by leading electric utility professional for undertaking public private partnership development of waste to energy projects with municipalities operating landfills, has executed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)with the Municipality Government of Morong, Province of Rizal, Philippine for its pilot project.
After commiting one year for reseach, studies, planning and marketing, including the identification and selection of commercially viable waste to energy gasification technology, Greenergy have now commenced the implementation phase of it project. With the signing of the Memodandum of Agreement, the Government of Rizal has signified its strong desire to host the installation and operation of a waste to energy gasification facilty to solve it solid waste management problem and bring less expensive electricity to the municipality.
The MOA covers the allocation of land by the local government for constructing the gasification facility; the collection, hauling and delivery of garbage by the local government to the gasification facility; the installation, operation and management of the gasification facility; the duties and responsibilities of the parties; and the ownership of the project.
This Public Private Partnership Arrangement creates economic, environmental and educational opportunities for the community and the participating investors. The Greenergy program represents a “green” solution that has the potential to generate millions of dollars to municipalities throughout the Philippines, sooner rather than later. The combination of innovative technology and marketing approach employed by Greenergy provides a rapid return of capital and profits from the acceleration of the entire WTE gasification facility design and investment process.

The normal industry process typically entails years of marketing, planning committee, and voter approvals, RFP’s, and the cost of municipalities issuing bonds to finance a WTE facility.
